The International Fellowships Program Thailand Alumni Network (IFP THAN) organized a workshop on media production, article writing, and grant proposal writing on February 4-5, 2012 at the Child Help Foundation (www.banlukrak.com) in Khon Kaen province. As the IFP program aims to promote social justice and social change through various spectrums, IFP THAN recognized how the development works can be effectively communicated through new media and social networking to a larger audience as “citizen reporters”. IFP THAN are also interested in how to write powerful journalistic articles about their works and the current social issues so that it can lead to positive policy change. Local partners from several non-IFP networks and provinces, whose works were focusing on different social issues, were also invited to join this two-day workshop.

This workshop is one of the serial capacity-building activities incorporated in the IFP THAN’s second phase projects namely the International Fellowships Program Thailand Alumni Network’s Organizational Strengthening towards Sustainable Development and Social Justice under Global Changes based on I-san communities Identity Project. This project is funded by the IFP office in New York which is being currently implemented in different geographical areas in 20 provinces of the Northeast.

เมื่อวันที่ 4-5 กุมภาพันธ์ ที่ผ่านมา สมาชิกเครือข่ายผู้ได้รับทุน IFP ประจำประเทศไทย (IFP Thailand Alumni Network) ได้จัดกิจกรรมอบรมในหัวข้อ “การผลิตสื่อ การเขียนบทความและการเขียนโครงการ” ที่มูลนิธิช่วยเหลือเด็ก (www.banlukrak.com) จังหวัดขอนแก่น ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ทำงานของคุณครูอุทิศ สมใจ (ผู้ได้รับทุน IFP ประเทศไทยปี 2552) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของคณะผู้ทำงานในด้านต่างๆในพื้นที่ภาคอีสาน ผ่านการเรียนรู้ภายใต้แนวความคิดที่ว่าทำอย่างไรงานพัฒนาต่างๆ จึงจะถูกเผยแพร่ไปถึงวงกว้างได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ผ่านการใช้สื่อใหม่ สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ ในฐานะ “นักข่าวพลเมือง” โดยมีผู้ได้รับทุนในรุ่นปัจจุบัน ศิษย์เก่าผู้ได้รับทุน IFP ประจำประเทศไทย รวมทั้งองค์กรภาคีในระดับท้องถิ่นซึ่งมาจากสายการทำงานที่หลากหลายเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอบรมในครั้งนี้

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นหนึ่งในแผนงานของเครือข่ายผู้ได้รับทุน IFP ประจำประเทศไทย ภายใต้ “โครงการพัฒนาศักยภาพองค์กรเพื่อสังคมที่เป็นธรรมและการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนบนฐานอัตลักษณ์ชุมชนอีสาน” ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสำนักงานโครงการทุน IFP ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ปัจจุบันโครงการดังกล่าวกำลังดำเนินงานอยู่ในหลากหลายพื้นที่ในภาคอีสาน โดยมีระยะเวลาดำเนินการตั้งแต่เดือนกันยายน ปี 2554 ถึงเดือนธันวาคม 2555
